Design and manufacture of a single-purpose semi-automatic device for assembling stabiliser bar sets. The device was developed with the aim of increasing production speed, reducing the risk of assembly errors and ensuring high quality of the final parts.
Process description
- Pressing steel sleeves
The device enables precise and repeatable pressing of steel sleeves onto rubber casings. A semi-automatic press in combination with integrated fixtures ensures correct positioning and uniform clamping of components. - Installation of stabiliser links
Next, install the stabiliser links using an ergonomic hand-held torque wrench with a preset torque. This tool ensures precise tightening in accordance with the manufacturing documentation. - Applying the production label
Once assembly is complete, a production label with a serial number and other production data is automatically applied to the assembly for traceability purposes. - Quality control
The process is completed with a visual and functional inspection. The system identifies any discrepancies and informs the operator, thereby contributing significantly to maintaining consistent output quality.
