For the revitalisation of an apartment building in Brno, we designed various exterior structures, in particular railings and awnings, which replaced the existing outdated elements in poor technical condition.
The main challenge was anchoring the structures to the older building, where we faced a lack of information, poor-quality building materials, and overall difficulty in accessing sufficiently sturdy structures in the building to which we could safely anchor the structures. The design of the structures therefore had to be adapted to the anchoring options available at the site.
