Equipment for automatic collection and sorting of mouldings from the Demag 130 Intelect injection moulding machine. The equipment distinguishes between two types of handling – the mouldings are either placed in blister packs on a stackable belt conveyor or loosely in plastic crates. The key element of the device is a three-axis manipulator that transfers the moulded parts to a transfer station, where they are picked up by an ABB IRB 1300 robot with a gripper adapted for different types of moulded parts. In the case of blister packaging, the spacing of the parts is changed at the transfer station according to the blister format. Mouldings intended for loose storage in boxes are stored without changing the spacing. The delivery included complete development, including design, production, installation of the control system and ABB robot, as well as subsequent operator training.
