Design and assessment of a steel structure for a tilting track for testing conveyors. The test track for transporting packages can change its inclination, thereby testing the movement of packages along an inclined track and the transition of packages between the inclined and horizontal sections. For this project, we supplied both the track and the lifting equipment, including design and manufacture.
The supporting structure of the track is mainly made of thin-walled profiles, and it was necessary to solve the support of the track so that it would be stable in all combinations of bale positions.
During the design phase, it was also necessary to address the kinematics of the track during lifting and smooth transitions of structural details in the direction of movement of the packages. The length, width and height of the structure are 8.7 x 5.3 x 2.8 m.
